Tibles is a digital collectibles trading platform designed to provide a marketplace for the buying & selling of digital collectibles. The company's platform partners with various companies to create digital trading cards, comic books, sticker books & multimedia objects- providing fans with multiple collectibles & an interactive collecting experience. With goals to encourage more user engagement & add utility, the company wanted to add the 'Tibles Token' as a new rewards feature in Phase 1 that would eventually serve as a medium of exchange within the ecosystem for Phase 2. To begin this project, I met with the CEO, Project Manager & Creative Director to go over the project's scope.
For Phase 1, our goal was to give users the opportunity to accumulate Tibles Tokens as rewards points with the ability to trade them, but not buy or sell them. Users earn tokens through pack purchases & participating in challenges, but also through airdrops. As one of two Product Designers on the Tibles design team, I was tasked with creating the user experience & user interface for notifications, earning & managing Tibles Tokens.
I began the project by using an inherited 'Collector Persona' to create a product roadmap through the 'Jobs to be Done' framework & conducted a competitor analysis. Next, I began rapidly ideating & creating low-fidelity user flows which after iterations, led to mid-fidelity & high-fidelity wireframe solutions for mobile & web. Finally I updated the design system with new UI components & constructed a clickable high-fidelity prototype to review with QA along with annotations for hand-off to the developers.
